About Course

Scissor lifts and Cherry Pickers are two of the most widely used pieces of equipment to get people working at height safely. We offer accredited and in-house training courses on cherry pickers and scissor lifts to HSE and RTITB standards. From understanding the equipment to the many safety risks involved in using them. Successful delegates will be trained and able to operate the MEWP safely to industry recognised standards.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course the operator should be able to:

• Operate the machine safely in relation to the task.
• Demonstrate an understanding of responsibilities under current relevant legislation.
• Operate machine safely and correctly in accordance with manufacturers manual and instructions and accepted good practice.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the need for Personal Protective Equipment.

Course Duration

• 2-day Novice course for up to 3 operators
• 1 day Refresher course for up to 3 operators

Certification:

Each delegate will be given a theory test to assess their safety knowledge, a pre-use and a practical test. Upon successful completion, a certificate of basic training will be awarded.

As an accredited training organisation, we can offer either in-house or RTITB Accredited training.

When conducting training at customers’ premises we will require the following:

• An open area either indoors or outdoors to conduct the practical training.
• LOLER certification for the MEWP to be used.
• A room in which to carry out the theory training.
